During his long career as an inker, Ande has worked for every major American comics publisher. He is best known for his work with penciler Phil Hester, including their four-year run on Green Arrow, with writers Kevin Smith, Brad Meltzer and Judd Winick. Parks also worked with Tony Moore on The Exterminators and Fear Agent. Other credits include Wonder Woman, Nightwing, Ant-Man, and El Diablo. Ande’s work as an inker has garnered him nominations for the Harvey and Eagle awards.

 

Parks has also written several acclaimed graphic novels and comics series. His historical fiction graphic novels Union Station, Capote in Kansas, and Ciudad were published by Oni Press. Capote in Kansas was named a Notable Book by the state of Kansas. Ciudad was developed with Joe and Anthony Russo (Captain America: Civil War) and is in development as a film. Parks has written the Green Hornet and Lone Ranger franchises for Dynamite. He’s also adapted three Jonathan Kellerman novels to the graphic novel format for Random House.

 

Ande is currently inking several projects for DC’s Young Animal imprint, which is curated by Gerard Way (My Chemical Romance). Parks works on Shade the Changing Girl with penciler Marley Zarcone. He’s also working with Phil Hester again, drawing backups for the Mother Panic book.

 

Parks lives in Kansas. He is fond of golf, hats, and bourbon.
